This demanding role for a top 5 star hotel with over 200 rooms in East Sussex requires a candidate with at least 18 months previous sales * events manager experience in hotels. Reporting to the Conference & Banqueting Operations Manager you will be required to work in a team of events managers and oversee 7 full time banqueting staff and porters, and over 100 occassional workers. Good communication skills, team leading, recruitment and training experience is necessary. You will be ensuring that events run smoothly from start to finish, including supervision of the set-up of the event and preparation of the staff for the day, through to meeting the clients face to face and finally ensuring the prompt clearing of the room*suite after the event. Motivation, organisational skills and event management ability is required for this excellent opportunity.
